"He Was A..." by H. Terry Parish

(Rodney King)

He was a simple man
Wised off to the cops they say
Found the men in blue don't play
Many a cop beat him with billy clubs you know
Many a blow to his head and body made blood flow
The cops got off and that's when L.A. burned and burned
A lesson to be learned

(O.J. Simpson)

He was a sports star
Went on trial for his life
Accused of stabbing his young wife
He sat there day after day as the trial went on
We heard about the two who were now dead and gone
And when it was over they said that he could go
And now we'll never know

(Mike Tyson)

He was a heavy weight
Raised in the streets so tough and mean
One night caused an awful scene
A place called 'Vegas' where many came to be near
Flipped his lid then bit off a piece of ear
They banned him from the ring with such a terrible sound
But he still gets around
He'll always be around and around and around and around and around

(Dennis Rodman)

He was a wild child
Being sued for sexual assault
He claims it was the woman's fault
He found that women don't like being grabbed by their breasts
Perhaps in basketball he could have been the best
Or he may simply be just like all the rest
So here I will remain
'Cause he'll do it again and again and again and again and again
